Canon released its new 5D Mark II DSLR camera. This successor to Canon’s popular EOS 5D claims to be a compact and affordable camera with remarkable HD video capture.
The camera allows continuous shooting at 3.9 frames per second(FPS) for an unlimited number of full resolution JPEGs depending on the storage capacity or upto 14 RAW images in a single burst with UDMA CF card. watch movies as well as still photos with its HDMI (High Definition multimedia Interface) output to display crisp, clear images on a High Definition TV.
The EOS 5D Mark II also bundles up 16:9 full HD video capture at 1920 x 1080 pixels and 30 FPS as well as 4:3 standard TV quality (SD) video capture at 640 x 480 pixels and 30 FPS, record video upto 4GB per clip, Peripheral illumination correction, Auto lighting Optimizer technology, Creative Full Auto setting, SIlent Shooting in Live View, EOS integrated Cleaning System and three Live view AF modes namely Quick, Live View shooting with Live and Face detection Live mode.
It offers flexibility with the two small RAW formats, sRAW1 with 10.0 MP with a file size that is approximately 25 percent smaller than a standard 21.1 MP RAW image and RAW2 with 5.2 MP at less than half the file size of a standard RAW image.
The Canon EOS 5D mark II Digital SLR camera is compatible with canon EF lenses and is scheduled for delivery by the end of November at an estimated retail price of $2699 (approx. Rs. 1,25,071). It comes in a revised kit with Canon's EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM zoom lens that retails for $3499(approx. Rs. <62,143). A complement to the EOS %D Mark II Digital SLR camera, EF 24mm f/1.4L II USM lens will be in the stores in December and is expected to retail for $1699(approx. Rs. 78730).
